"Levain Bakery, known for its beloved 6-ounce cookies that are a favorite among New Yorkers and tourists, is expanding outside of New York City with a new location in Georgetown, D.C. The Georgetown bakery will occupy the former Johnny Rockets space at 3131 M Street NW and is set to open in late summer or early fall. The bakery will offer its best-selling cookies like chocolate chip walnut, dark chocolate chocolate chip, dark chocolate peanut butter chip, and oatmeal raisin, as well as a gluten-free option and the new two chip chocolate chip. Alongside these, it will provide a variety of other baked goods similar to its NYC menu but with some changes." - Tierney Plumb
