"I was visiting some friends up in Chevy Chase, and we decided to make a late night reservation at BirdSong for some comforting Thai food on a rainy night. This spicy coconut milk soup fit the bill, the house made curry was so warming while pickled mustard greens and lime lightened the strong flavors. We got the vegan version (my group had some allergies) and I loved the flavorful roasted pumpkin. I’ll be coming back to have a bowl of this soup all to myself in the colder months, plus split the papaya salad, which was tart and had incredible crunch.
