"A Covent Garden American restaurant rolled out a deliberately provocative, time-limited promotion tied to the dates of a presidential visit, unveiling a limited-run 'MAGA (Make America Great Again) Burger' (available 9–15 July): a one-kilogram “monster” priced at £22.95 that combines two 8oz beef patties, a pulled pork patty, deep-fried courgettes, caramelised onions, three kinds of melted cheese, tomato, lettuce, a secret burger sauce, and crispy fries inside a toasted brioche bun — billed as “thick, meaty and rich...though much, much easier to stomach!” Alongside it came the £9 'Stormy Trumptini' cocktail, which explicitly references Stormy Daniels and is described as inspired by the president’s complexion and bouffant, mixing vanilla vodka, Passoa liqueur, passionfruit juice and puree, garnished with yellow candy floss and served with a red “Detonator Button” shot of prosecco and grenadine. The promotion’s slogan and tongue-in-cheek sign-off (“President Trump, we’re ready for you!”) prompted criticism that the stunt cynically courts press attention and reduces a highly controversial, widely protested visit to a joke rather than a respectful homage." - Adam Coghlan
