"The Portland Mercury reports that Scandals, a gay bar that’s been open since 1979, is planning on opening a second family-friendly location called Scandals East. The news broke after Iain MacCoinnich posted a copy of the liquor license on the social media platform X. Owner David Fones confirmed the opening to the Portland Mercury, adding that the new restaurant will include a full bar, food, and a large outdoor patio.
