"Summerhill brewery Halfway Crooks Beer opened on Georgia Avenue in 2019. The tech-themed brewery is owned by electrical engineer Shawn Bainbridge, Tim Kilic, and Belgium-born brewer Joran Van Ginderachte. It includes a ten-barrel brewhouse, where pilsners, pale ales, and lagers comprise the bulk of brewing here. Inside find scattered table seating running the length of the tasting room and two bars — one downstairs and the other upstairs on the second floor, which includes its own ordering counter and a louver ceiling.
