"I learned that Jeremy Palmer, owner of Corner Pub Green Hills, was widely called out after a long thread of now-deleted racist and anti-LGBT tweets from the bar’s account surfaced following protests over the police killing of George Floyd; reader-submitted screenshots show tweets from at least early May and the Corner Pub Green Hills Twitter was later switched to private with Facebook posts deleted. The incendiary replies included calling looters “animals” and at least two occasions where the account said the writer would run over rioters, and the backlash led to the dissolving of Palmer’s business partnership and the closing of Corner Pub; Palmer later posted an apology on the same Twitter account saying his frustration came out on social media, that “We welcome everyone at our family businesses,” and “For that I am sorry.
