Treasure Island opens its new sportsbook on the Strip | Eater Vegas

"Opened just in time for the NFL season (and timed for college football and the delayed Kentucky Derby), this newly debuted 12,000-square-foot sportsbook and bar seats about 750 and centers around a massive video wall for games and races. The space includes a full bar, VIP seating, and a dining program of small bites and main courses—highlights include a giant pretzel with cheese sauce and honey mustard, chicken wings, nachos, salads, a house burger carrying the venue’s branding, a bison burger, and desserts such as churros and a black-and-white cookie (many items start around $12.95). Operational details are guest-friendly: the snack bar and sports bar are open daily from noon to 10 p.m., kiosks for placing wagers run 24 hours, and live teller windows operate Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and Friday–Sunday 9 a.m.–9 p.m. The venue doubled in size after relocating into part of the former buffet space (which closed in March), and ownership estimated roughly $3.5 million in construction costs." - Susan Stapleton
