"Born during the pandemic, Molly Welton’s mobile coffee business operates out of a 1960 Layton trailer “caravan” and opened a new pop-up home in Stinson Beach as of April 7. I highlight the menu's Moonrose Lattes and Afghan cookies as staples she hopes to sell most days through the beachtown’s busy summer; pastries will come from a Mill Valley baker that she hopes will become her first wholesale account. The truck was part of San Francisco Park & Recreation’s food truck pilot and became a lightning rod during the contentious debate over the Great Highway—an exposure that ultimately led to her being kicked off the highway but also gained her many fans and new opportunities, including spots at Off the Grid events through October and the ability to hire and train additional baristas. Technically not permanent onsite (she must pack up each night), the truck will be at Fritz Bikes in Stinson on weekdays and will remain in Golden Gate Park off Lincoln Avenue by the southern Murphy Windmill on weekends, with hopes to expand; current hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fritz Bikes and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Golden Gate Park on Saturdays and Sundays." - Paolo Bicchieri
