"I attended the American Cuisine & Hospitality Symposium on September 17, held at the Orpheum, and although the late Ella Brennan wasn’t physically present her legacy was felt throughout the day. Close to 500 people paid about $200 a ticket to hear industry heavyweights revisit a gathering from 35 years ago, with seminars and panels on trends, American cuisine, cocktails, the future of hospitality and its problems. The program was a mix of big-name speakers, local talent and a concluding drinks-and-cocktails panel, all framed around remembering Brennan’s impact on New Orleans hospitality." - Beth D’Addono
