"Irish bars are fairly rare in Austin, so when a new one opens in a previously-lacking neighborhood, the local response tends to be pretty joyful. Kelly’s Irish Pub set up shop on West Oltorf Street in 2022, and in just a couple of short years, South Austin has fallen in love with its satisfying Irish stew, fried shepherd’s pie rice balls, and enormous Irish breakfast plates.
