"Navy Yard restaurant Due South is capitalizing on baseball season by opening a new a satellite food stand right along the southeast waterfront. The three-year-old Southern eatery is opening Due South Dockside, a boardwalk snack shop stocked with alcoholic beverages and beer-friendly dishes from chef Rusty Holman. Initial menu offerings include pulled pork nachos, barbecue sliders, and hot dogs. Beers on tap include Pacifico, Due South Lager, and Devil’s Backbone Earned Run Ale — the house beer served at neighboring Nationals Park. There’s also frosé, a frozen twist on the iconic summer wine that’s been featured all around D.C. in recent years. Due South Dockside is projected to operate at least two hours before and after each Washington Nationals game throughout April. Starting in May, it will open at 11 a.m. daily, weather permitting." - Tierney Plumb
