"I've watched this handmade tortilla house expand from its El Monte original into a food truck and an Orange County restaurant space, and it has now quietly opened inside Plan Check on Fairfax. The opening menu is slightly more robust than their usual fare, offering flour tortilla–wrapped burritos as well as tacos, starters like queso or chips and guacamole, and sides such as rice and beans. Drinks include margarita pitchers for $49 and most other cocktails (tequila mules, palomas, etc.) around $14. Hours run 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, extend to 10 p.m. during the week, and stay open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday." - Farley Elliott
