"I noted that award-winning TailGate Brewery opened a new East Nashville taproom at 811 Gallatin Road, led by founder and brewmaster Wesley Keegan; TailGate is the largest brewhouse in Tennessee. At this third Nashville location I found 30 different beers on draft at all times and a familiar menu ranging from wings and giant pretzels to build-your-own pastas and pizzas, plus a cauliflower-crust pizza for keto diners; pre-set pizzas include meat-lovers, veggie, mac and cheese, and lasagna pie. The space features the slightly irreverent artwork the brewery is known for—murals, tap handles, and beer cans conceived by Keegan and art director Drew Lord that humorously reference recognizable Nashville topics and even include cameo appearances by core staff. Although a brewery, TailGate is open to visitors of all ages and offers plenty of family-oriented events across its locations and kid-friendly pizza options. Founded in 2007 in San Diego and relocated in 2014 to make Nashville its international headquarters, the brewery has grown from a 3-barrel system to a 50-barrel system, allowing its three core can varieties to be joined by small-batch, limited-release craft beers; the new Nashville site is the third active brewery & taproom and also houses an experimental wild-fermentation brewing system. Hours are Sunday–Thursday 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 11 a.m.–11 p.m." - Delia Jo Ramsey
