Where to Eat in San Diego During a Weekend Away | Eater

"Bing Haus specializes in Thai-style rolled ice cream; a custardy base thinly spread on a frozen metal plate, then scraped with a metal spatula into coiled cigars, stacked and topped with fruit, cereal, cookie crumbles, and sauces. For a shareable dessert, try the seasonal melon Bingsoo: milk shaved snow, mochi, and red beans under a mountain of watermelon or honeydew balls, all doused in condensed milk and served up in the melon’s shell with a side of vanilla soft serve. Soft-serve aficionados love the intense flavors like charcoal vanilla and watermelon coconut sorbet. Plus, they’ve recently introduced mochi donuts, with a monthly changing selection that can be found on their Instagram." - Mary Beth Abate
