"Located at 1808 West End Ave. inside the Hutton Hotel, I found Analog to be a 5,000-square-foot, multi-level cocktail lounge and music venue carved out of previously unused parking levels; designed by Tuck-Hinton Architects with Studio 11 Design, the space is a stunner with double-height ceilings, a dramatic color palette, and a main bar that repurposes a bevy of used analog electronics. It functions first and foremost as a cocktail lounge with a full bar serving house drinks overseen by Hutton Hotel beverage director Megan Cross (with Freddy Schwenk consulting), and seating across the main floor and both balcony levels ranges from couches and lounge chairs to high-top tables and traditional bar seating. Thoughtfully built for live music with input from Red Light Management, the room features a state-of-the-art Bose sound system, a low-profile modular stage, and custom acoustic paneling, and it holds about 300 standing or 160 seated; in its short life it has already hosted a range of performers from Maren Morris to Allen Stone and Josh Ritter. Regular hours are Tuesday through Thursday 6 p.m.–midnight and Friday–Saturday 6 p.m.–2 a.m., weekly programming is posted on Analog’s Instagram, and most shows are free and open to the public unless otherwise stated (though seating is limited)." - Matt Rogers
