"Willow is one of Downtown Detroit’s only Black-owned craft cocktail bars, a stylish speakeasy from the owners of the contemporary soul food restaurant SavannahBlue. Willow’s cocktail menu pays homage to the often overlooked cocktail contributions from the African diaspora around the world, telling the story of the Black experience through its drinks. With just 50 seats, Willow is a cozy, intimate space, and the “willow” motif is repeated throughout, from the otherwise unmarked entrance in the alley behind SavannahBlue (look for the gold door with a silhouette of a willow painted on it) to the large willow tree that serves as the focal point of the bar.
