"The new indoor taproom and expansive outdoor space at 670 Trabert Avenue will have a grand opening on Saturday, August 16 (doors at noon), timed to coincide with the opening of the nearby trail segment. Opening-day programming includes live music, pizza, wings, brewery tours, beer, and specialty cocktails. The 7,400 square-foot indoor space will feature 30 taps with nearly 100 different releases a year, while the 17,000 square-foot outdoor expanse will include a patio with fire pits, an amphitheater for live music, pizza ovens, a 20-foot outdoor LED TV, free parking, and dozens of native trees; morning coffee and pastries will also be offered. The existing West Midtown taproom will be repurposed for private events. To mark the opening the brewery will debut new beers including Sticky-Hop Hut (double New England IPA), All Hussle No Bussle (lager), Faithful Instruction (with raspberry), and Blueberry Full Stack, a maple syrup barrel-aged brown ale with blueberries and vanilla. The project arrives in the brewery’s 13th year and expands a footprint that already includes six taprooms across the Southeast (including two in Atlanta and locations in Birmingham, Knoxville, Nashville, and Charlotte). The opening comes amid recent restaurant closures in West Midtown tied to expensive parking and limited transit; in response multiple businesses have lowered parking rates and this new venue is offering free parking, while the new trail segment is expected to increase foot traffic in the area." - Henna Bakshi
