This Italian-inspired steakhouse by Chef Scott Conant offers prime steaks and a chic ambiance, perfect for both casual brunches and upscale dinners.
"From a big celebrity chef, this Italian steakhouse is another top steak option in the district, but it throws in great pasta options as well. Located in the Intercontinental, the restaurant rarely draws large, noisy (and perhaps nosy) crowds—perfect for navigating any awkward getting-to-know-you conversation out of earshot of others. Most of the menu items are simple but elevated takes on the usual steak cuts, house salads, and pasta. We like the spaghetti with pomodoro, and the cocktail menu has a noteworthy list of fun and showy drinks (think glass smoking cloches and misting bottles) that can help you jumpstart a dying discussion." - demarco williams, nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard
"With its dark, sleek decor, big artsy photos, and a spacious interior that offers ample room between tables, Buckhead’s Americano feels like the place to impress your new boo over martinis and better-than-average steaks. Or come to spoil your old flame with wine and some of the best focaccia we’ve ever had. If you’re feeling extra frisky, order the fantastic rigatoni with marinara and see where the night takes you. If that destination looks like another round of pasta, well then consider it real love." - nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard
"When you’re using your fingers to scrape up the last of the creamy polenta with savory mushroom au jus, you’ll be grateful for the seclusion that Buckhead’s Americano provides. A long, cavernous dining room with high-back leather booths feels private for couples, hides celebrities (who we only spotted when they walked to their table), and provides shelter for folks out with their sneaky links. The polenta is the best thing here, but Americano's juicy steaks and housemade pastas are excellent, too. And we especially love the perfectly al dente macaroni tre formaggi, which will win approval from that auntie who hates every mac and cheese but her own." - nina reeder, jacinta howard, juli horsford
"Located in the InterContinental Buckhead, James Beard Award-winning chef Scott Conant’s first foray into Atlanta is undoubtedly among the best steakhouses in the city. Prime cuts like bone-in ribeyes for two, New York strips, filets, and hanger steaks are succulent and seasoned to perfection and make an incredible start to a Sunday when ordering the Steak & Eggs at an exceptional weekly brunch. Housemade pasta is available during all hours of service, including happy hour. Change up your steak sides by adding a tagliatelle bolognese course after an elevated wedge or Caesar salad. Reservations highly recommended." - Su-Jit Lin
"Chef Scott Conant’s Italian restaurant at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead is offering a Thanksgiving dinner to include dishes like braised short rib, porchetta-brined turkey with pancetta chestnut stuffing, and Brussels sprouts. The family-style dinner is $150 a person. Wine pairings are available for an additional $60. Reservations highly encouraged." - Eater Staff
