Where to Eat Magnificent Mexican Food in New Orleans

"This gorgeous St. Claude Avenue taco joint and outdoor haven has undergone a few changes in the last year or so, including its proprietors and new executive chef and partner, Pablo Reyes. Reyes, a native of Oaxaca who has been cooking in New Orleans for two decades, has found a well-suited home in the kitchen at Galaxie, serving an expanded menu of tacos, quesadillas, tortas, and snacks like Oaxacan-spiced nuts. Try the roasted adobo chicken quarter and the al pastor torta, sample one of the shop’s many mezcals, and don’t miss the house margarita." - Clair Lorell
