"At The Grove’s 690 Mission Street outpost I heard CEO David Cohen say it’s great to see tourists returning and that APEC “puts Moscone Center back on the map” as a premiere convention destination, but he’s also worried about supplier access and delayed to-go orders. To cope, he’s arranged alternative delivery drop-off times and asked staff to leave earlier to handle travel delays; he also contacted city officials about logistics after learning a large barricade will be placed right outside the restaurant’s doors and was told some decisions were made at the federal level for what’s being treated as the first National Special Security Event in California. Cohen views the event as both a financial hit and an opportunity for small businesses nearby." - Paolo Bicchieri
