"Located on Harrison Avenue in Lakeview, this new deli and pizzeria from the owners of Katie’s serves Creole-Italian fare alongside St. Louis–style pizza; I noticed the St. Louis pie is topped with Provel cheese (a blend of cheddar, Swiss, and provolone) and sliced into squares, with toppings ranging from cochon de lait and spinach and artichoke to a three-cheese pizza with feta, Provel, and mozzarella. Provel also appears elsewhere on the menu, on a po-boy with fried oysters and bacon and on a meatball sub, and the menu includes a version of Charlie’s Delicatessan’s “moon” sandwich, truffle mac and cheese, “frips” (a fry/chip mash-up), salads, and burgers. The spot is open 11 a.m.–8 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and closed Sundays; the restaurant’s name comes from the owner’s middle name." - Stephanie Carter
