"Expanding from its essential Austin food truck roots, Patrizi’s will open a new counter-service restaurant on Thursday, May 12 at 1705 Cuernavaca Drive North in the Lake Hills neighborhood. This second location introduces breakfast and lunch for the first time, with morning panzerotti—described by co-owner Nic Patrizi as “Hot Pockets, Italian breakfast tacos, or Italian kolaches”—stuffed with scrambled eggs and cheese and offered in a pancetta iteration as well as a Nutella dessert version. Daytime offerings will also include house-made focaccia used as loaded toasts (with potential toppings like mushrooms, eggplant caponata, or tomato confit) and sandwiches such as a tentative caprese, muffaletta, and a vegan eggplant sott’olio. Dinner will mirror the original truck with core pastas—pomodoro, red sauce, cacio e pepe, and carbonara—plus add-ons like meatballs and garlic confit, salads, and bar snacks such as fried arancini and potato croquettes. A full bar will serve cocktails similar to their sibling spot but with an Italian lean (including a paloma made with grapefruit juice and Aperol with house-made orange cognac, an orange limoncello, and a spritz) alongside beers and wines. The space will have indoor and outdoor areas and will be dine-in only at first, open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to roughly 10 or 11 p.m., with takeout and daily hours to follow; the team chose Lake Hills in part because co-owner Matt Patrizi lives nearby." - Nadia Chaudhury
