"In Northern Liberties I watched Ellen Trappey lead a lineup of powerhouse heartbreak songs — Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own,” Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now,” and the Chicks’ “Gaslighter” — trying to energize a tepid Monday-night crowd on the bar’s second-floor sofas and chairs before the room nearly doubled in size; her friend Tara Cox sang harmony and later rallied the crowd with hand-clap timing on “Private Eyes,” even planning to sing all five parts of “My Shot” from Hamilton. I learned that the 700 resumed Monday karaoke early in the reopening wave, that Sara Sherr hosts there on Mondays, and that regulars are relishing the embodied, public singalong after months of pod and at-home karaoke." - Allie Volpe
