"The San Francisco–based fast-casual Indian chain is opening its first Atlanta outpost as part of the North Decatur Square mixed-use development at 1555 Church Street. The concept began as a food truck and now operates multiple Northern California locations; this site will sit alongside neighbors such as a Whole Foods 365 Market, Tin Drum Asian, Bad Daddy Tacos, and a large four-story, 450-unit apartment building. The menu blends traditional items like biryani and thali platters with playful riffs — tikka masala variations, a cheesy “naughty naan” with caramelized onions and jalapeños, and “sexy fries,” a sweet-potato take on poutine topped with cheese and a choice of protein. Franchisee Hemant Suri (former owner of Midtown Tavern) is leading the Atlanta rollout." - Beth McKibben
