"Opened in 2022 in the Grandmont Rosedale Park neighborhood, Detroit Rosa was launched by Charity Dean and a former partner and named for Dean’s great-grandmother, Rosa Malone, who was among the first Black residents in the area in the 1970s. I see it functioning as a lively third space where residents hold community meetings, hunker down behind laptops for co-working, and gather for special events — most recently hosting a Beyoncé listening party — and the flagship location is expanding its offerings to include mimosas, espresso martinis, and Irish coffees." - Serena Maria Daniels
