Dunkin’ Donuts Drive-Thru Heading for Hillcrest | Eater San Diego

"I'm seeing that a Dunkin’ Donuts is moving into Hillcrest to replace longtime taco shop Los Panchos on Washington Street; it's scheduled to open in early summer and will be run by local franchisee Burton Foods LLC, which operates several San Diego-area stores including locations on military bases and stand-alone shops in Point Loma, National City, and downtown San Diego. The Hillcrest location will be modeled after the El Cajon branch (which launched last summer as Dunkin’s first next-generation concept in San Diego) and will feature a more modern design, digital kiosks, expanded grab-and-go options, and an eight-tap system pouring nitro-infused cold brew, iced tea, and more; the existing drive-thru window will be retained and a walk-up counter added. Dunkin’ even parked a mobile doughnut and coffee truck at the site to preview the menu Monday–Friday from 7 a.m. to noon, and customers will be able to order via the drive-thru or the Dunkin’ mobile app for fast grab-and-go service." - Candice Woo
