"A new sports bar centered on women’s sports is slated to open in the Castro this upcoming May, taking over the restaurant space left behind by the shuttered Copas at 2223 Market Street and led by business partners Sara Yergovich and Danielle Thoe. The bar is named for San Francisco’s Elizabeth "Rikki" Streicher, a local lesbian activist, bar owner, and co-founder of the Federation of Gay Games, and "is believed to mark the first return of a lesbian-themed bar in the LGBTQ neighborhood in decades," BAR reports." - Dianne de Guzman
