Hazel Coffee & Cocktails now open at Mandalay Bay | Eater Vegas

"Set inside the resort’s lobby area in the former Orchid Lounge, this new bar—designed by Bishop Pass to function as the resort’s “living room”—shifts from a Lamill-coffee-driven espresso bar by day to a live-entertainment cocktail lounge by night. The jewel-toned interior pairs gold lounge sofas, green velvet chairs and cobalt-blue Chesterfield banquettes with brass accents, dark wood, antique mirrors, a marble-topped bar with chestnut leather armrests and a backlit, brass-shelved liquor display. MGM Resorts’ beverage director Craig Schoettler created a program of classic and modern cocktails (Manhattans, Old Fashioneds, martinis), craft cocktails and complementary bar snacks, alongside daily specialty coffees and teas and a daytime menu of breakfast and lunch items like parfaits, sandwiches and salads. Coffee service runs 5 a.m.–3 p.m. daily while cocktails begin at 5 p.m. (Sun–Thu until 1 a.m., Fri–Sat until 2 a.m.)." - Susan Stapleton
