"At the other end of Hudson this small, somewhat tropical restaurant felt lively and comforting; we sat at the counter near the open kitchen where T., the chef, managed frying fish, grilling shrimp, heating beans and rice, saucing, slicing, and toasting all at once while smiling, and our son could watch him so we had a calm dinner—he and I loved the whole fried fish, which we ate with stewed lentils, rice, garlicky greens, and a cabbage salad while I drank two glasses of a slightly effervescent, murky, perfumed Cacique Maravilla Gutiflower." - Sierra Tishgart
