"I went to Ackee Bamboo twice during election week - three times, if you count me raiding my refrigerator for jerk chicken at 3:45am on Wednesday. The classic Jamaican restaurant in Leimert Park has been a favorite of mine for years, but the tremendous menu, filled with oxtails, brown stew chicken, and Jamican patties, proved to be an absolute necessity that week.
