"Pelah, a Bed-Stuy-based, Sierra Leonean baker, will be serving a menu of doubles, sweet plantain and pecan sticky buns (made from a recipe created by baker Paolo Velez), and other desserts at Daughter on Saturday, August 28th from 12-5pm. All of the proceeds benefit the non-profit organization, Zanmi Lasante, who is collecting funds to provide emergency relief aid in Haiti after the country’s recent earthquake.
