"We are happy to report that the fifth location of Los Tacos No. 1 is just as good as its siblings, and this one has the benefit of being extremely convenient to Penn Station. The line will likely stretch out the door during the lunch rush, but don’t be deterred—it moves fast. You can’t go wrong with either the flour tortillas (which contain lard, and better yet, taste like they do) or the pleasantly chewy corn tortillas here. During the day, you’ll mostly see small groups of coworkers hunting and gathering to-go orders to bring back to their offices (there are standing-room counters to inhale your tacos, but no seating), but given that they’re open until 11pm almost every night, this Los Tacos location would also make a great pre- or post-game stop for any sports fan who’d prefer not to shell out $22 for a crappy sandwich at Madison Square Garden. photo credit: Molly Fitzpatrick Food Rundown Carne Asada Taco Our go-to at Los Tacos. The beef is tender, with a nice little char from the grill. Adobada Taco These marinated pork tacos are another great option, with just the right amount of sweetness. Plus, it’s fun to see it rotating on the spit. Jamaica Agua Fresca Pleasantly tart and refreshing. If you’re not feeling hibiscus, there’s also a tamarind agua fresca and horchata on offer, plus a selection of Mexican sodas." - Molly Fitzpatrick
