"You can technically eat inside of Sushi 295 Mercer. There are few counter seats, and no one will stop you from snagging one. But mostly, you should think of this place as the top sushi takeout spot in Greenwich Village. The prices are reasonable (for sushi at least), the rice is firm and just lightly sweet, and the thick-cut fish is on-par with spots charging twice as much. For around $35, you can get a combo with one roll and eight pieces of nigiri, including toro and sweet, thick scallop. But if you just want a few pieces of sea bream and a yellowtail scallion roll, you can also order a la carte." - Bryan Kim
