"Despite sounding like a background character in an ITV drama about Henry VIII’s sex life, Brother Marcus is in fact, a cute little day-to-night spot in Balham. During the day you can head here for Lebanese pancakes, a £40 bottomless brunch, or if you’re going a little more lowkey, you can also just answer a few emails whilst sipping their great coffee. All that changes come sundown though, with their evening mezze menu and top cocktails - shoutout to the oh-so smokey Dumanli date-infused mezcal number. If you’re after somewhere in SW12 for a charming date or a casual birthday situation, know that they have a cute little back garden and a £30 chef’s choice option which makes for a fun surprise tasting menu situation." - Heidi Lauth Beasley
