"The team behind MF Sushi and Kinjo Room diverge slightly from their sushi-centric ways with Virginia-Highland’s Yakitori Kona. The focus here is on meat and vegetable skewers alongside excellent cocktails, making them a perfect spot for light bites and drinks. Plus, half-priced skewers make them a Happy Hour must. Our favorites are the medium-rare steak bits encrusted with crunchy garlic flakes and the OG moist chicken with a tangy umami dipping sauce. Come early because this place usually gets overrun by cocktail-clutching groups who spill out of the small space and onto the sidewalks.
