Nestled in Atlanta, Lazy Betty is a Michelin-starred haven where innovative tasting menus and stylish cocktails create an unforgettable culinary adventure.
"New American restaurant Lazy Betty didn't just kick off the tasting menu boom in the city, it set the standard for what lavish multi-course experiences could be. The menu shifts frequently to incorporate a range of seasonal ingredients—and to keep repeat diners on their toes. Courses sway from straightforward (tender filets of cod or wagyu beef in a buttery wine sauce) to unexpected (a beef wellington play with a giant scallop coated in a herby truffle custard). Decorated with statement lighting and tons of live plants, their Midtown location is the perfect middleground, where you'll be welcomed whether you strut in with a floor-length fur before catching a show at the Fox or straight from denim day at the office." - nina reeder, jacinta howard, juli horsford
"Michelin-starred Lazy Betty in Midtown is surely known for their innovative tasting menu but do not skip the cocktails. Bar seating is first come, first-served, and the cocktail menu is concise: just nine super-refined cocktails. Try the Beetlegeuse, Beetlegeuse with mezcal, beet and coriander syrup, and yellow V.E.P. chatreuse, or go classic with an Old Fashioned. Five nonalcoholic cocktails are also available." - Beth McKibben, Henna Bakshi
"Yes, one Michelin-starred Lazy Betty has a great tasting menu, but the bar is where the cool kids hang out. The seasonal cocktail menu by beverage director Conrad Helms keeps you on your toes, along with a tight wine list and non-alcoholic options. The Attack of the Clones white negroni is a sipper — it evolves and unfolds as the ice melts. It’s made with Mississippi-made Wonderbird Gin No. 61 (fermented using Mississippi jasmine rice, which lends wonderful texture to the drink), yellow chartreuse, amaros, and orange bitters. Sit with this one, and pair with the sunchoke fry bread topped with caviar. The restaurant has limited open bar seating and does not require reservations if you’re just popping in for a drink. — Henna Bakshi" - Allison Ramirez, Henna Bakshi
"The Michelin-starred restaurant is known for its cocktail program and wine list, though the zero-proof drinks shine here, too. Try the Celery Gimlet with lime and chive oil, or even one of the best NA wines like the Odd Bird blanc de blanc sparkler from Languedoc, France, with a side of caviar. —Henna Bakshi" - Laura Scholz, Molly Harris
"Relocated to the former Empire State South space in Midtown, Lazy Betty was built for date night and celebratory dining. Choose between two highly curated tasting menus with optional wine pairings. The stunning floral-shaped cured hiramasa with stone fruit, green peanut, shoyu emulsion, and crispy ginger is a refreshing start to the meal. There’s also champagne and caviar service, which comes served with steamed milk buns and scallion pancakes. Bar seating is open for walk-ins." - Eater Staff
