Axum Ethiopian Restaurant Review - Edgewater - Chicago - The Infatuation

"We had a good cry when Edgewater Ethiopian staple Ras Dashen closed. But luckily, Axum shortly took over the vacant space—and with it came the return of delicious stewed vegetables, meats, and injera. And their injera might be the hardest working in the business, capable of fitting 20 dishes on a $110 chef’s sampler for two. But you can still get smaller platters with just a few things, like dollops of shiro with roasted chickpeas or gored gored: lightly cooked, rare beef bathed in a spicy awaze and cognac sauce. Since this place usually isn't too busy, it's good for a spontaneous group dinner. " - John Ringor
