Aska

Scandinavian restaurant · Williamsburg

@infatuation

"Aska looks like a minimalist goth cabin owned by a Scandinavian art director, and, with its black tablecloths and chatty servers, it’s significantly less stuffy than your typical fine dining spot. It also costs $298 per person. If that’s not what you’re looking for, read ahead. But should you have an anniversary, birthday, or IPO to celebrate, stick around. We’ve tried a lot of expensive tastings in NYC, and this one hit the sweet spot between fascinating and delicious. There will be foraged lichen, and there will also be live, wriggling scallops and lobster served in a butter made from its own shell." - bryan kim, neha talreja, kenny yang, willa moore, will hartman
