"Years ago, Toshi Sushi was one of Little Tokyo's best dollar-for-dollar sushi restaurants. Then it closed. But now the owner is back with another casual spot, and the sushi (and deals) are just as good. If you’re a fan of Sushi Gen’s iconic sashimi special, Toshi’s sashimi combo is the South Bay equivalent. The $30 plate includes cuts of fatty tuna, scallops, salmon, ikura, and a dish of whatever the chatty chef-owner comes up with that day (raw octopus with wasabi, on our visit).
