"The next time you’re meeting a friend for an affordable dinner keep Kagura in mind. This Japanese spot (with other locations in Torrance and Gardena) specializes in crispy, tender tonkatsu. You can order the deep-fried cutlets by themselves, or as a dinner set with rice, sashimi, miso soup, and pickled veggies. Whether you go with a more traditional filet katsu gozen or the cheese-stuffed mille feuille variation, you likely won’t spend more than $25 on a full meal. There’s a fun sake bar up front, but grab a booth table in the back for a quieter, semi-private experience." - Nikko Duren

This spot made for the perfect quick brunch. I got the Katsu Filet set. My wife got the Lion Katsu set. All were good, the only issue was they forgot the dressing for the shredded cabbage. Once I got that sorted, it was enjoyable.

Nice Japanese restaurant. Food is very flavorful. Service is outstanding. Strongly recommend.

Be warned that after 5pm they pack up your food as to go rather than plated. Doesn’t make much of a difference as the food is packed quite well but just a heads up. The food itself tastes very good and the pork is juicy and not too dry. While the restaurant usually doesn’t have a line, most of the seating for this food court is outdoors.

Located in the food court of Tokyo Central in Gardena, this Japanese Tonkatsu restaurant is an authentic hidden gem for Tonkatsu lovers🤙 Tried their pork Katsudon set (you have a choice between pork or chicken also) and the pork upon first bite was juicy and meat was very tender. Outside katsu was crunchy, the pork is lean and didnt have any fat too. Miso soup and cabbage salad was fresh and not instant, I would visit this place again. 5 stars🤙🤙

Came here for dinner after work on a coworker’s recommendation - it was excellent! I got The Loin Katsu Set, which was a great value - katsu, rice, and soup all for under $15. The pork was so juicy and tender, and the outside was so unbelievably light and crispy. The sauce was very good and went great with the pork. Would definitely come again!

First time I've seen a layered katsu. Very good. Well-fried, with a great deep curry sauce. I'll want to go back a lot.

If you're going to eat in a supermarket food court, this is one of the best ones. All the vendors here are pretty great. With eating out prices going sky high, this place is reasonable at roughly 15 bucks for a complete meal. This time around, I chose the filet-croquet set which comes with a pork tenderloin katsu and a cream croquet. Even with the additional drink and tip, it came out to under 22 bucks. the filet predictably was super tender. But the cream croquet was luscious. It wasn't the crab cream croquet but I was expecting a standard potato croquet so this was a pleasant surprise. I've also had the mille feuille katsu and a few other items and they've all been great. Just be sure to get there early because they'll pack everything to go after 5 or 5:30 pm (I forgot the exact time.)

Great place to grab a plate of katsu!

Yelp
Located inside of the Tokyo Central market in the corner, Kagura is stationed food court style. The lady at the counter was very nice and I was able to choose what I wanted easily thanks to their display case on the right side of the counter. I chose to get the pork loin tonkatsu plate, which costed me about $14.25, a reasonable price. Different vendors use their voices call out order numbers throughout the court. We came here on a Thursday afternoon, so there were plenty of seats to sit at and the outdoor seating area was also not in use. I waited for about 10-15 minutes for my order, and I was pleased at how the tray looked. I get a large plate with a large slice of pork tonkatsu cut into strips ontop of a large set of shredded cabbage. There is a dash of wasabi smeared on the side of the plate and there are slices of jalapeno. On the side is a cup of rice and a side of sauce. I also get a cup of miso soup, which had a very fishy taste and was a bit powdery, yet smooth. Chewing the pork, I enjoyed how light the crisp layer is and how it felt like it was melting in my mouth. The pork loin had some very chewy sections that were fatty, which I enjoyed. I found the portion and ratio of everything to be just right, although it felt like a lot of cabbage but it was fine. You definitely need to dip the meat in the sauce every now and then for a nice flavor combination because it can get a bit plain and bland without it. You can also eat the wasabi or the jalapeno but I wanted to avoid spiciness! I do wish those two things were put off to the side too and not on the plate, but it was fairly easy to avoid touching the rest of the plate.

Yelp
Really liked their chicken Katsu set. I wasn't expecting it to be slightly spicy but it was definitely a good change from what I've had in the past. The Katsu is also nice and crispy Staff is super nice and polite. It does get crowded on the weekends around lunchtime

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Bought a Katsu curry plate to go. Included miso soup. Overall pretty good. Katsu was crispy and curry was good. Took about 15 minutes, so made fresh to order. Ambience is connected to tokyo central's small food court, so it was hard to find a place to sit to even wait for food. Wouldn't recommend for a date, but to grab food to go. I imagine weekends it is even busier with less parking.

Dawn A.

Yelp
Atmosphere - Food court, clean, limited indoor seating, lots of seating on patio Food / Taste - Ordered the pork loin katsu which was crispy, tender and flavorful. Customer Service - Female cashier was not very friendly. Price - Average

Yelp
I think I would realistically give a 3.5 rating if I could, but rounding up to 4 as I don't think Kagura is 3 stars. Kagura's katsu resembles the ones in Japan, especially with their light and fluffy breading. I ordered a katsu curry and substituted the pork katsu for chicken katsu. The curry itself was rich and had that depth of flavor, honestly really delicious. My chicken katsu was also tender - perfectly fried. Miso soup was yummy, and I think the salad was ok to me; I didn't like their onion dressing as much compared to other places but my friend loved it. Here is the part that unfortunately made me knock down a few stars. When we received our food, I just thought that it looked...sad? There was a small portion of katsu and rice (the rice also wasn't packed all the way and the gap in the middle made it look like there was even less). Ratio is the most important when it comes to dishes like this. I wish I had more rice for the excess amount of curry. The meal was delicious, but it didn't really feel worth it since I paid almost $20 for meal in a "food court" setting. Maybe I got unlucky that day, but I think the portions were too off putting for me to instantly want to return. Food was good though!

Yelp
This was such a great find. It's located at Tokyo Central. They offered a variety of items. My family ordered chicken katsu, pork loin Katsu, and Katsu Don. It included rice, sauce, and miso soup. The wait for the food was a bit long. We were able to hover close by for an empty table to sit at. It was all worth the wait. The food was delicious. It was fresh and crispy. The soup was hot. I was able to finish my entire meal. Will definitely order their Katsu again.

Tiffany K.

Yelp
i loved the food at the restaurant location so you know i had to try it here!! this location is inside the food court at tokyo central and did not disappoint. the service was fast and food was delicious. one of the best chicken katsu i've ever had!! super flaky and the meat was still nice and moist. it also comes with a miso soup, side of mustard, picked cucumbers and a bed of cabbage. def recommend stopping by here if you're in the area

Mary L.

Yelp
Surprisingly, this Kagura location inside Tokyo Central Market has the best Katsu meal sets. Absolutely perfect and delicious. Public restrooms aren't far. There's indoor seating as well as outdoor seating with cover. It's actually more spacious than expected. Huge parking lot too. I really enjoyed the taste of pork katsu and chicken katsu here. It's fresh and tender white meat and looks like air fryer style katsu dishes. Comes with salad, rice, soup, etc. Staffs were happy and helpful. Customers are all very satisfied. Inexpensive at under $15 per order. Curry rice with pork or chicken katsu is always so tasty and good. Crispy for sure. I really like their katsu batter which is made to perfection. Good chefs. They make it so good here for customers. Hardworking people. Lines are busy as usual. Overall, great location and very good stop. We will be back again. Yumm sauces too. Generous.

Noelle S.

Yelp
Stopped by Tokyo Central on a Friday at 5pm, and placed and order for the Loin Set and Curry Set to go. Food is made to order, and it took about 10 minutes. The food kept nicely on the ride home and tasted so good! Not dry, good breading that remained crispy, and balanced nicely with the salad, pickled veggies and sauce. Curry was also solid, very comforting for a fall evening. There were also plenty of spaces for us to eat at the food hall, had we chosen to. There was both indoor and outdoor seating.

Lo S.

Yelp
Quality is somewhat inconsistent, but when it hits the crispness and juiciness reminds me of Japan. You can also order online ahead of pick up using the clover app or calling by phone. Shared seating in a food court. The place sometimes smells like burnt oil for some reason. Free parking in the market lot.

Lou C.

Yelp
Katsu, katsu, katsu!!! Probably the best katsu I've had. Got the chicken katsu curry set. Didn't like the curry but it was overshadowed by the katsu. Inside Tokyo Central Market at the food court. You can dine in or take your food to go. Service was fast and efficient. Will definitely be back to try the other Katsu.

Brannon Y.

Yelp
If you're looking for a GREAT Katsu Curry restaurant and you're in the area... STOP NOW. You've found it! I ordered the chicken Katsu curry, and it was unlike any I've ever had in the past. The breading is different than "Panko crumbs" - I'm assuming they make their own in-house. The chicken was succulent, the curry had a beautiful blend of flavors, and the whole dish looked incredible all together! The pricing seems very reasonable for the quality of work they put into their dishes. Katsu dishes typically take a decent amount of time to make, so I'd say Kagura has an average wait time. Can't rush perfection! I went during the late afternoon and sat in the dining area (seat yourself style). Lots of seats - probably can fit around 40-50 people give or take a few. Plenty of windows also, so I had good lighting for my food photography! Love this place and will be back soon! Thanks Kagura!

Christine L.

Yelp
Food is ok. Maybe my expectations were too high, but my katsu was mush on one side. I ate in, didn't do take out, so food was piping hot. Just not crispy on both sides. Also, the pickles were very salty. Miso soup was standard, rice was good, just portion was small considering the katsu and curry. Overall, will pass on a future visit.

Derek T.

Yelp
I will never say no to good tonkatsu. So Kagura in Tokyo Central is a great katsu fix if you don't want the fuss and wait with a sit down restaurant. The best thing about Kagura Gardena is the price point. Everything is affordable without sacrificing quality. Pork loin is a classic and yes, it is nice and juicy with a good crunch to boot. If you order after 5pm, it will be served to go. If you want the plating, then order before then. Either way, it's still good.

Heather H.

Yelp
There are multiple kaguras but this one is super affordable because it's in the Tokyo central! The katsu at kagura is always super crispy and yummy. The rice is also amazingggg! Perfectly cooked Japanese rice is an art in itself. Perfectly fluffy but individual pieces of white rice. Service was super fast and the seating area is relaxed and convenient.

Grant S.

Yelp
I've been going here for years and realized I never wrote a review for it- Kagura is my spot to go to if I want quality katsu. Located at the food court inside of the Marukai on Artesia, Kagura is a casual spot that specializes in all sorts of Katsu. Whether it's katsudon, katsu sando, curry katsu, you name it, they have it. Although the menu isn't as extensive as their Torrance and El Segundo locations, it hits the spot for a quick katsu option. Service is fast and friendly, and the food does take a bit to make, but with the quality and freshness of the katsu, it's all worth it.

Christyl J.

Yelp
Some of the best katsu curry I've ever had! The curry was super flavorful, rhe chicken was moist and the miso soup was a perfect side! Only issue was it took a good 20min to get

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
Some co-workers and I ordered Kagura for lunch and had it delivered to us. I can't comment on the ambiance or the physical space, but the food is tasty and we received our order quicker than expected. I ordered the loin katsu set with a side of curry. The katsu was crispy despite it sitting for a bit during delivery, but it was also a little dry. The curry was delicious and would satisfy any curry craving. The set came with miso soup, which was good as well as a side of cabbage and rice. The cabbage was not seasoned and did not add much to the meal. Overall, Kagura gets a 4/5. Food was prepared and delivered quickly, and the katsu stayed hot and crispy. It might be better to go in person to enjoy the meal fresh. Would recommend to anyone looking for a Japanese curry spot and would give this place another try.

Y. K.

Yelp
Was in a bad mood cause wife dragged me to a food court for Sunday dinner. But SO GLAD she did. The fluffiest, juicy, tender, Katsu chicken and pork I've had in SoCal. What are they doing to the meats??? Lol! I've been back there 3 more times since.

Joan L.

Yelp
Ordered the fillet katsu set - it was crispy, tasty and filling. Would have been nice if it came with some dressing for the shredded cabbage. Order was ready in 5 min. Ample seating in the food court area and very convenient to shop at tokyo central after dining.

Ayden P.

Yelp
Solid place for various types of Katsu. Inside the Tokyo Central food court! 4.5/5 Food: The chicken katsu is great quality. The chicken is always fresh! It comes with Chicken Katsu, salad, rice, pickles, katsu sauce, mustard, and miso soup. I eat exactly in this order: 1. Eat Katsu dipped in katsu sauce and little bit of mustard 2. Eat salad and rice 3. Finish with miso soup Service: They are usually fast in completing your order. It is take out only after 5PM Ambiance: It is one of the spots inside a food court, so not a formal restaurant environment. There is a decent amount of seating, and you get to try other foods in the food court if you don't feel like katsu :)

Sandra L.

Yelp
I stopped in on a day when they were offering a limited menu item - Cheese Mille Katsu! This is a regular item at the standalone Kagura restaurant, but not at this food court. It was as delicious as the one from the Kagura restaurant at half the price! $15 is not cheap for how little you get, but it's still worth it compared to the restaurant. The chicken was perfectly tender and juicy. The cheese and shiso leaf inside just made the chicken katsu extra special. I highly recommend getting this if they are ever offering it. Other than the Cheese Mille Katsu, their regular Mille Katsu is also worth getting from here. It is the same great quality as the Cheese Mille, but without the melted cheese and shiso leaf. Kagura is busy all the time. There was quite a bit of a wait for our food and the Cheese Mille Katsu took extra long for some reason. Regardless, I loved it and would order it again!

Chieko K.

Yelp
If you have good taste in katsu then this is the place for you. If you don't then byeeeee. I love this place because it reminds me of this famous spot in Tokyo, called Butagumi. Both of them share this premium flaky crispy batter on the outside which I love. I know most katsu uses a thicker more dense batter but I prefer this. I will DEFINITELY be returning. If I had to describe how the batter is, it almost looks like bonito flakes were fried on it, but that's a good thing with the flakiness. The katsu does take a little bit of time to make as I'm under the impression it's fresh but in my opinion worth the wait. You can always go shopping in Tokyo Central for a little or order a snack at one of the other food places. This location is inside the Tokyo Central and to the right of the entrance. Parking: free lot Seating: indoor table cafeteria style Wifi: no Payment: card or tap Vibe: food court dining Dress code: casual. But be warned your clothes will smell like fried food after you leave.

Gregg L.

Yelp
Real deal tonkatsu like from Japan. Those who know, just know that it's not the same here like it is in Japan. Kagura is legit!!

Roy L.

Yelp
We've been coming to Kagura for years and I'm torn writing this review. It should really be a 3.5 star review but you can't write half-star reviews. The food is absolutely delicious. There's no questioning that the quality of the fried pork cutlet is of the upmost delicious nature. But the problem is the value of the meal continues to decline. When we first started coming to Kagura, the portions were much larger and since the pandemic, they package all the food in to-go packaging, which reduces the size a lot. Even if you dine-in in the food court, they give your food in packaging that's really wasteful. I remember a time when the pork laid on top of this wire mesh instead of over the cabbage. So now, unless you eat the food right away, the half side of the katsu that lays on the cabbage gets soggy quickly. It does feel like the prices have gone up to the point where it's hard to keep raising prices but instead shrinkflation is a real thing. The amount of rice, cabbage, and soup given now is perhaps 3/4 of what it used to be. And before you come, check the hours of operation; they close fairly early around 7pm on weekdays.

Ethan P.

Yelp
This gem is an ideal pit-stop before grocery shopping, offering great bang for your buck! Service here was fast. I've been here a few times but this is my first time trying the katsu don which was mouthwateringly good, with its soft and chewy meat that's just awesome. A great local spot!

Su S.

Yelp
It was my first time here, and I ordered the Katsu Curry Set. The food was just plain good. Nothing too amazing, but it was satisfying and enjoyable. I would come back again. Side note: they do not allow you to customize the curry to be spicy. The standard curry was not spicy. Service was kind and fast. It took around 5 minutes for my food to be ready during the lunch hours of a weekday. The ambiance is a mix of relaxed and busy. There are people dining and shopping in the Tokyo Central store. There are seating booths located inside and outside.

Kyle T.

Yelp
Great katsu for an affordable price! Definitely a good bang for your buck. Would rate this as a 8/10 in Katsu's that I've had

Juo-Chin Y.

Yelp
This location is inside Tokyo central, so we went here for lunch before grocery shopping. There's not as much selection as other locations but it's got enough great choices already! After ordering at the counter, we waited for about 15-20 mins for the food which was a very reasonable time for the katsu to be fried freshly. We tried the cheese mille katsu and the katsu curry sets. Both were very delicious! I obsoletely love the crispness of their katsu! We also ordered the croquettes and they were the best croquettes we have ever had! I am going to try other Kagura locations

Alexis E.

Yelp
I do not recommend eating at Kagura for the Katsu Sando. It was incredibly bland, and the chicken tasted and looked very old. It was definitely not worth the $12; so skip it. I'm sure the other meals are better, though a bit expensive. When someone in my party opted for chicken Katsu, the salad sauce that came with it leaves a sour taste in your mouth that is unpleasant. Katsu also felt pretty small for the price you get for it. I'm sure the pork Katsu could be better, but I guess I'll have to try again.

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I'm so torn with this place. Today my Mille Feuille Cheese Katsu was severely undercooked in the middle. My friend noticed the middle looked pink and pointed it out to me but we remembered that pork can be a little pink and still be cooked through. But after taking my first bite, the thin pork layers separated and I saw that the middle pieces were actually still raw -- pink, slightly translucent, and definitely chewier. I immediately stopped eating and was anxious the rest of the day about possible food poisoning. I think this location isn't able to efficiently handle the lunch crowds, even tho they warned us of a 20min wait for our meal, it seems they are rushing the katsu frying process, which leads to higher risk of undercooked meat. In general, their katsu is good quality and better price point than the main restaurant in Torrance. But long story short, inspect your meat closely at this location because they might be rushing cook times.

Jacob L.

Yelp
I I've been here many times for their katsu--specifically their curry set. Kagura's katsu is consistently good and at this mini version, I can place an order, do my grocery shopping and pick up my food on my way out. The menu is not as extensive as their sit down restaurant in Old Torrance but the prices are a tad bit lower because of the lack of table service. Dine in on their enclosed patio or take it to go but it is best fresh! They have free, self serve water stations that put out chilled and hot water.

Sarah Y.

Yelp
10/10 recommend this place! location: inside Tokyo Central Gardena food court what we ordered: (1) pork loin set ($12.50) (2) curry katsu set ($14.50): the curry is slightly spicy. it's perfect. they give you a generous portion of curry too main takeaway: if you're ever in the South Bay, I highly recommend checking this place out. Prices are extremely reasonable and the flavors & breading are immaculate.

David ..

Yelp
It was really food considering its food court food. Katsu was hot and fresh. Good portions on the rice

John S.

Yelp
went out to get some good Kagura chicken Katsu curry, instead I got some weird nothing like curry dish. I ordered two but only got one. Crazy how bad this is today, normally when I go there it's good-- really good. But I'm not going back to this Kagura. Really crappy service today.

R S.

Yelp
The feel of the restaurant is really cool. I love the intimate seating. Great spot for a night out with the family, friends, or a first date. The service was fast and attentive and the food was delightful. The menu offers variety and the flavors do not disappoint. Each dish we tried was worth going back for, but there is still more of the menu to explore!

Celina C.

Yelp
Really good! Just a bit expensive. I thought that the sauce and the meat were both good. For me, there was just nothing that's setting it apart or making it unique or super special.

Sebastien L.

Yelp
Sunday brunch @ 11 am - Loin demi tonkatsu set, Katsu don (fillet) Price: super reasonable Ambiance: food court style, casual and loud but acceptable Service: it's a food court, order + pick-n-go style, but the server will give you a bowing when pick-up the food The pork tonkatsu was incredible juicy, the mustard was strong and excellent. The Katsu don tastes so Japanese, very authentic. Highly recommend!

Joanne S.

Yelp
First time here... after always seeing a line here. I decided to try the fillet tonkatsu set! Surprisingly light and non-oily for fried pork katsu! Came with a miso soup, shredded package, pickled ume, and mustard and tonkatsu dressing.. Wouldn't mind coming back next time!! Wanting to try the Katsu don which appears to be very popular!

Connie S.

Yelp
I originally went to their Torrance location and was waiting for them to open, but then I saw that this one opens earlier! So win for me. I got the curry katsu and it was so good. It came with a salad, miso soup, and rice. The indoor dining area is limited but they do have much more seats outdoor (it's a food court so tables are shared). I will definitely be back. And after, you can go to the market and get some Japanese goodies! Lot parking

Mikey R.

Yelp
Service was pretty fast. To go order that had everything prepared (utensils napkins sauces etc). Food was delicious. Katy's was lightly breaded- doesn't break your tooth like other local spots. And chicken was thick and perfectly cooked! Great lunch experience. Ambiance was poppin' too!

J Y.

Yelp
Really crunchy and fresh tasting katsu that's deep fried but doesn't taste greasy. I didn't think I could eat katsu here after coming back from Japan, but this place is pretty good. Nice and friendly workers and reasonably priced. 4.5 stars!

Vivian F.

Yelp
Decided to stop by and grab some katsu to-go for dinner after doing some shopping at Tokyo Central. Hot tip - you can order ahead online so you don't have to wait around. I didn't know you could do that so I placed my order in person and waited around 15-20 minutes for my food to be done because there were a lot of orders ahead of me. I ordered the Pork Loin Katsu Set as it was the fattiest cut and in the model, it looked the most similar to the katsu I had in Japan that still haunts my dreams to this day. Unfortunately the real product didn't match the model or my expectations exactly BUT it was still one of the better katsus I've had in the states. I also didn't eat it fresh, so I'll definitely need to go back to try it again dining in.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Great experience at their Torrance location. Fantastic run at their El Segundo spot, so when this place popped up, I had to bookmark and "try them out someday." I come through Tokyo Central a lot so I've had the chance to go through their menu. Someday" finally happened when I woke up on a random weekday craving for whatever cutlet curry. It's one of those rare times I'm kinda glad I didn't have a choice: Katsu curry set it is! I was home in no time and my plate looked real delish. First thing I didn't recognize is the yellow stuff. Took a small scoop and it was WASABI AND ITS FIRE!!!!!! If I had a cold, it prolly woulda fixed it! (One thing, though, is that it's fresh and most likely homemade!) Food was cooked to order so the Katsu was hot and the thin batter was crispy. One thing it needed was seasoning. Although I can taste the protein, it needed a little bit of a bump flavor wise. The curry sauce helped a lot, but that kinda plateaued out when the more curry sauce I had, the saltier it got. The salad was a great palate cleanser. FOOD: 4. A little better than good, but it can be better. SERVICE: 3. Little interaction. VALUE: 3.5. PARKING: Located inside Tokyo Central's food court, OVERALL: 3.5. I may skip this plate next time, but I'd come back to try something else. Good first run.

Joanne R.

Yelp
I am probably late to the game but this to Katsu place is a gem. This branch is in the food court section of Tokyo Central, Gardena so they open throughout the day which is very convenient. I was curious because I never saw 'Mille Katsu' in Japanese and was explained that it's the Loin being sliced thin and stacked together before fried. I tried the fillet Katsu. It's all made to order so I had to wait for a few minutes. And it was well worth it. The fillet was juicy and tender. Absolutely crispy panko crust. The thinly sliced cabbage was cold and crispy like it should be. The rice was super tasty and perfectly cooked. I could eat this everyday if I could ! Will bring the whole family here to enjoy the Katsu - it's very close to our experience in Japan. The only improvement I could nitpick is the miso soup.. it could do with a little tofu or small mushroom to make it a completely perfect meal.

Benson K.

Yelp
After a very fun trip to Japan, I rediscovered my love for tonkatsu. I really enjoyed eating high quality tonkatsu in Shinjuku, and I wanted to try to find a similar place in LA. I saw that Kagura had a lot of positive reviews, so I decided to try the Kagura located in Tokyo Central in Gardena. They have a wide variety of tonkatsu options including katsudon and sauce katsudon, but I ended up trying the mille tonkatsu. The pork was layered in a mille feuille style. It was super juicy and soft, and the batter was light and airy. The combination of the sauce with the tonkatsu was absolutely amazing. The only thing missing was sesame seeds, but understandable as this was a food court location. I liked it so much, I came back a few days later and ordered the fillet tonkatsu. The fillet tonkatsu was also quite amazing, and honestly I couldn't tell the difference between this and the mille katsu. The menu is very simple and straightforward, but I would definitely come back for more.

Andrew W.

Yelp
I'm calling it... this is my favorite Katsu Curry place in LA. I'm as surprised as anyone that it's a little spot in a supermarket food court. But the cutlet is juicy and flavorful, the breading is perfect, and the curry has a nice little hint of spice. Makes for a great post beach lunch. Can't wait to go back again!

Sarah Y.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised I don't mind katsu but it's never something I'd suggest grabbing. We came here after having some tough luck at another restaurant. I arrived hungry but unsure if katsu was what I wanted to eat to satisfy the hungriness I did end up getting a pork loin katsu though, and I ended up really enjoying my meal! The meat was tender and the breading was great. I've had some pork katsu in the past where the breading reminded me of the Tyson's chicken nuggets in the past, but the katsu here has a really nice crunch to it. They were relatively efficient too. There were a few orders ahead of us and I think we ended up waiting about 10-15 minutes for our order to be finished. The order comes with miso soup Overall, for the portion size and price, I consider this to be a pretty good value. You can always walk around the Tokyo central market while you wait for your order to be prepared which is what we did (and we got more food too.) I would come back again in the future :)

Yelp
I was debating between getting the katsu don set and the katsu curry set but chose this because I was craving an egg and the food model of it looked unbelievably good. It came out looking a bit different. The katsu was also a little bit soggy, but I assumed that was from the egg or something. Overall though, it was still really good and very filling!
