"Jowong is a Korean restaurant serving excellent gimpab, tteok-bokki, and galibi in a relaxed setting—this place is cozy with low ceilings and wooden tables adorned with tiny bud vases. Start with some classic banchan like pickled eggplant and myeolchi with potatoes, before moving on to their MVP—creamy kimchi carbonara pasta, loaded with parmesan, egg, and bacon. What else keeps us coming back is their friendly, attentive service that isn’t too overbearing, mellow music for added chill, and hotteok (pancakes) topped with butter ice cream that’s both delicious and fodder for your feed." - guillaume guevara
