"The crab fried rice at this Southeast Asian restaurant in Chelsea is one of our favorite versions of the dish, with a baseball-sized portion of juicy lump crab meat, a creamy golden omelet blanket, and a few sweet and spicy pickled chilis on top. From the chef behind Korean fine-dining spot Jungsik, Sea’s food is technically flawless and pared back—their delicate yet punchy yellowtail crudo, or hot salty prawn rolls wrapped in lacy fried rice paper would work well for dinner with co-workers, or a date night. The space is pared back too: all gray cement walls with enlarged Thai and Vietnamese postage stamps providing pops of color. Try their excellent cocktails (we like the Thai iced tea with rye), and the dry tom yum noodle dish that eats almost like jajangmyeon with warmer spices." - molly fitzpatrick, bryan kim, neha talreja, willa moore, will hartman, sonal shah
