"This once-roaming pop-up has settled down in Westlake, with a drink lineup that’s just as cheeky as the painting of a roller-skating mug on the wall. Expect banana in a lot of menu items, including a mocha topped with banana cream and banana chips, bananas n’ cream matcha, and banana bread chai. There are lots of other fun drinks, too, like the Coke n’ Cream Spro, which mixes Coke, espresso, and vanilla cream. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Cathy Park

The Brown Sheep

Taco restaurant · Downtown Los Angeles

"Dig into “authentically inauthentic” Mexican street food by iconoclastic LA chef Ray Garcia from the classic taco truck with a modern twist parked on the eighth-floor terrace. Garcia, best known for his critically acclaimed LA hotspots Broken Spanish and BS Taqueria and named Chef of the Year by Esquire, has created an irresistible menu of gourmet tacos — from time-honored favorites like carnitas and carne asada to unexpected (but soon-to-be-classic) inventions. Wash it all down with refreshing margaritas, Mexican beers, and curated cocktails while the DJ spins tunes — from a booth fashioned from the front half of an old sports car."
