"If all we told you about Vee Vee is that it’s in Jamaica Plain and has rotating displays of art on the wall that you can buy, you’d probably already have a pretty good guess as to what type of restaurant it is. And truthfully, you’d probably be right. It’s an intimate place with a seasonal menu, a small but thoughtful wine list, and, if you grab one of the seven or so seats at the bar, you’ll probably end up next to a couple who just came from a class that teaches you how to arrange succulents in recycled beer cans. But as those types of restaurants go, Vee Vee is a reliably good one, with a few dishes like the pappardelle with smoked chicken and eggplant that we really like. This place only serves beer and wine, and it can be a little hard to get a table given how small it is (though they usually reserve a few tables for walk-ins), but if you live nearby this should be in your date-night rotation." - Dan Secatore
