"Choosing between the numerous Pakistani counter-service restaurants on Coney Island Ave. in Flatbush can give you major decision paralysis. Knowing each spot’s specialty helps. At Mashallah, it’s the lamb chops. The masala-spiced, charred meat falls off the bone, and goes well with a made-to-order naan that’s been given a proper shine with some garlic butter. There’s plenty of seating and colorful photographs add flair, but for the most part, this is a low-key spot where people sit around watching the big TVs, eating tandoori chicken lunch specials, and drinking perfect cups of masala chai.
