"Coney Burger looks like a fast food spot, but it suffers over every detail of its excellent champ burger. Almost the entire thing is made in-house, including the bread, pickled tomato, cured egg sauce, and yuzu mayo. In the center of it all is a bulbous patty. The Downtown spot is only open from Friday to Sunday, and it’s worth popping in for a weekend burger (they have a vegan option), fries, and a shake. Just look for the bright yellow and blue building with a burger ventanita. They have a few tables on the sidewalk, but (especially during summer) we like sitting inside at the small counter, where you can see them assembling burgers like they’re in the final round of a Jenga championship. If all of this sounds familiar, it’s because Coney used to have a nearly identical setup in Little Havana." - Virginia Otazo
