"Don’t let the plastic-wrapped mochi at the entrance or the smell of coffee crunch cake wafting from the attached Yasukochi’s Sweet Shop throw you off track at this Japantown convenience store—what you really want from Super Mira is in the back. There you’ll find tables and coolers with grab-and-go sushi, donburi, and fried Japanese snacks like karaage and potato croquettes. While everything is solid, we prefer the onigiri, maki, and nigiri (get the bluefin tuna nigiri and futomaki if they have it). Nothing will set you back more than $10, making Super Mira a cheaper option than many nearby restaurants. Just be sure to get there before noon to beat the lunch rush, because once something’s gone it won’t be restocked." - Patrick Wong
