"Next time you’re running an errand at The Home Depot in Glendale (or Cypress Park), look for the disturbing, life-sized statue of a hot dog squeezing ketchup on itself right outside the store. This covered hut with a few picnic tables is a little parking lot oasis with dogs that are just a little bit better than you’d expect them to be (especially if you get them fully loaded with onions and pickled jalapeño). There’s a polish dog if you want something closer to a sausage, but hey, you’re at Hot Dogs Depot—stick to the jumbo dog and scarf it down in 30 seconds before mustering the nerve to go compare paint swatches." - Andrew Ryce
