"If you’re at all interested in wine, then 1855 should be on your radar. This small but comfortable spot on Newbury Street has a massive list of exclusively French wines, in addition to French-accented staff-members who will help you sort through it. The bistro menu is solid, with a few things like the risotto with cabernet-braised beef and the Ouef Meurette rising to keep-this-in-mind-for-next-time status. If you’re shopping on Newbury and wary of deciding where to eat because literally every restaurant looks like it could be a cute little place for a decent bite, head to 1855 with the confidence that it actually is one." - Dan Secatore
