"La Santaneca De La Mission is a casual all-day Salvadoran restaurant where families line big booths on their days off, a lasso and a cowboy hat sit next to a kitschy Mission revival-style faux indoor roof, and there’s a warning on the menu to prepare for at least a 25-minute wait for your food. Most of the dishes are solid, save for the cheesy pupusas, which are fantastic, especially the revuelta con frijol. When you’re not in the mood for a corn dough-based meal, try one of the breakfast platters (served until 11:30am) like the eggs with beans. It’s simple, filling, and one of the cheaper meals you can have in the city at $9.50. photo credit: Ricky Rodriguez photo credit: Ricky Rodriguez photo credit: Ricky Rodriguez" - Ricky Rodriguez
